AISYAH SOLEHAH BINTI MD YUSOF (CEB150002)

20th March 2016 (Dapur Jalanan)

Dapur Jalanan @ Bangsar Club

This is the first time I went to Dapur Jalanan KL and joined program like this. Thanks to the Social Engagement subject, I could experience such a great opportunity to do a welfare.

First of all, there are a lot of positive outcomes I gained from this project. For example, I managed to stay cooperate and communicate with the group members in order to prepare the food for the homeless on time. Maybe there are not a lot of things to do on that day because a restaurant sponsored them Nasi Ayam Ramesh but still, for the first timer, communication and cooperation are the main keys to done the work.

History of Dapur Jalanan and information on Bangsar Club
From 2 pm until 7 pm, from food preparation to sharing session, there was no time to rest except for prayers and time before food sharing session. During the rest, the member of Dapur Jalanan, Mr. Shafiq, he shared with my group about the history of establishment which is Dapur Jalanan was founded in 2013.

Food Sharing s
I can conclude that I could see the happiness in the homeless face when they received the help. They thanked every each of us and talk with us politely. Not all of them are homeless. Even some of them have a job but they cannot cope with the living cost in Kuala Lumpur.
While doing the food sharing session, infused one feeling in my heart which is appreciation. I realised I should be appreciated what in front of me and my surrounding.

25th March 2016 (Sekolah Bimbingan Jalinan Kasih - 1st Visit)

Sekolah Bimbingan Jalinan Kasih (SBJK) has been operated since 19 August 2013. The school is located 5 minutes walking from Chow Kit Monorail Station. The school is specialised for the kids from 4 until 19 years old which they put certain rules and regulations as not normal teenagers or kids can enter this school. I heard about the school when I was 17 because I joined a Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia (BSMM) Camp at Putrajaya. During that time, the school not known to outsiders.

To be there and organised activities for the kids especially kindergarten students were not easy. My group discussed several times and have to do a full mock rehearsal to make sure everything will run smoothly. We have done fundraising by selling cupcakes in order to buy gifts and snacks for the students.

I, as a Game Conductor, had to do a lot of talking. I had to keep the students interested to join us and allured them with snacks. Every time they lost their focus, I will persuade them and said, “Anyone who win the game will get a candy!”.
Meeting the students
Teacher's briefing

Being a Game Conductor, I realised that being a teacher is not easy. I have to keep up with the students. I need to make sure the games were not boring and they stay active.
One of the kinder student, named Aisyah, suddenly she cried in front of me. I panicked but luckily their teacher was there and she took Aisyah away to cool her down.

Overall, I could see that the students were ecstatic when my group came and did some activities with them. With such activities, they could relieve their stress from learning all the week long.

8th April 2016 (Sekolah Bimbingan Jalinan Kasih - 2nd Visit)

My group second visit to the school. Again, my group had briefing session with the Headmaster because representative from RTM ‘Jurnal Bes’ came and did some media coverage on our activities. But this time, my group focus was primary school students.

The night before the visit, my friends and I went to 8th Residential College to wrap hampers for the explorace groups.

For the primary school, we organised an explorace. My subunit group was in-charged in Fill Water in the Bottle. Before the explorace started, while waiting for the students done their aerobic session, my subunit team prepared for the place as ome exchange had to be done as there was raining.

What I observed, the students were eager to play the game. Some of them brainstormed the strategy how to fill the bottle within 2 minutes but some of them can’t even fill the bottle. So, what the others did are they hold the bottle and guided the end of the sponge to the mouth of the bottle.

What I gained from this activity, I learnt how to encourage them to do well while doing the task. I learnt how to communicate well with them. I had to low my standard of communication and the same time stay strict so that they could understand what I said and listen to the instructions.

The session for that day had to end early because of the school had visits from Ministry of Education. I asked one of the student, her perspective of the activities, she said to me that she happy because we came again and she even remembered my friend because on 20th March, they had session together. That student said she can’t wait to come to University of Malaya (UM) and she felt excited. She told me not to forget about 6th May which the 3rd session with the school students at UM.

HUE SOOK YAN CEB150043 25//3/2016 Friday Sekolah Bimbingan Jalinan Kasih

Today is my first day to go to Sekolah Bimbingan Jalinan Kasih. I get so excited as this is my first time to visit the school in my lifetime and this school is not as usual school. The student there need not to pay any fees and even for the food they eat. Furthermore, it is different in the way of teaching (Multigrad method) and the period of their study. The things which more surprise me, is the class is not based on the age of the students, and is based on the qualification of the students. I also hope that my primary and secondary school have the same sistem with them, so that the student who are cannot catch up do not self-abased and healthy competition will have between the students. This is what my wish.

When we arrived to the school, we had a meeting with the headmaster of the school. He brief us about the information of the school. I really appreciate him for willing to spend his valueble time with us. I do appreaciate him for trusting us by allowing us to plan some programme or activities for the student there.

After that, I was going to be the teacher assistant of the students. I tried my best to teach them. I spoke with them softly because I want to be friend with them. I like them so much and I hope they too! When a boy do not focus during the lesson, I tried to persuade him to focus and do not play the toy. Maybe I am too soft to him, he just ignored me. I planned to deal with them strictly next time, so that they can listen to me. During the lesson, not only the student learnt something letter A to Z, even me have learnt somethings such as the way to communicate with students.

Next, Pre-School student had a drawing contest. I like their facial expression when they are drawing. They look so serious when drawing, and it made them more adorable! Later, I went to the other class room to have a look with other students. They are playing a game with my other groupmates. This game is more about the value of coorperation. They are unexpectedly better than my groupmates even they are smaller than my gourpmates. It is really suprious me!

After that, we have a price giving ceremony. I felt really touching when I saw the face of the students when they receiving their price.
Next time, whenever I felt tired, look at this photo and look their happy face! Tell myself, 'I can be as happy as they are!'

Lastly, we had a sharing session. From the opinion from other groupmates, I know how to become and practise to become better and better.

Today, is a meaningful day and I love it!

SEKOLAH BIMBINGAN JALINAN KASIH (2nd Visit)
KUALA LUMPUR
15 APRIL, 2016

This was my as well as my group's second time we all were going to SBJK for conducting our activity. I again felt very much happy to see all the children and teachers. I greeted them cordially and asked if they were doing good. They were also very overwhelmed to see us for the 2nd time in SBJK.

We were briefed by the honorable principal of SBJK shortly for the 2nd time before starting our activity for that day. I personally felt very happy to meet the principal, the teachers and the lovely children for the 2nd time.

Briefing session (2nd time)

This time, my group was assigned by various types of games and activities which we organized for our event. There were aerobics session, filling water game, eagle game and so on. I was assigned for the game "fill the bottle". While playing with the little kids, it reminded me of my childhood. Also, I noticed that whatever the situation is, these children are always happy. They have no complain. After noticing all these, I realized that I should be positive towards everything to be contented. One of my bad habits is that I compare my situation with those people who have more than me. But after seeing those under-privileged children from very near, I realized that I should always be happy and contented with what I have given.

Children having lunch

As I was conducting my activities, I noticed the teachers as well. Like, how they teach the children, how they behave with them and so on. With my utter surprise, I noticed that all the teachers were very kind and affectionate towards the children. They also behaved very politely with all of us which motivated me to always behave well and keep a positive attitude. They teach the children with care and proper guidance. So, the children are also well mannered even if they were very small. This positive attitude of the teachers motivated me greatly.

I also got to know about the responsibilities of how these kind of events are handled. As I am in group 2, I was assigned to arrange games for children as well as to inspire them by moral values. So I was quite aware of my responsibilities. Obviously these tasks helped me for the future to be more responsible when I will be handling a family or my workplace. It not only taught me to be responsible, but also gave me an opportunity to spend quality time with the little children and have fun with them.

The SBJK event not only helped me in my future life, but also helped me to be successful in my present life as well. This event taught me how to communicate with children. Because children are prone to explore and learn various things. So I made sure I should provide good examples from which they can learn something good which will inspire them in their future life. I also gained knowledge about the nature and lifestyle of the under-privileged children.

The most important thing I learnt is that the unity and teamwork. I was really happy when I saw my whole team along with other teams are working hard to make the event a success. This taught me how to remain united in good and bad times and also the urge to work together under proper guidance.
Also, I learnt how to follow the instructions of the leader as they are the dragoman to lead us to the right path. Surely it will help me in the long run afterwards.

Furthermore, I got to know the vision, mission and goals of SBJK and these kind of institutions. How they carry out their noble work, how they help the children who are under-privileged and how they are willing to develop it to such extent that more institutions feel motivated to establish more schools for the under-privileged and homeless children.

In short, SBJK event motivated me highly from different aspects. It inspired me to do social welfare in future and also to conduct these kind of events more frequently. It has broaden my outlook and vision as well. Also, got to learn a lot of things from the teachers and children from this school. By this, I have gained knowledge and lots of experiences. I would conclude by saying that, I got to spend some amazing time with the children and teachers of SBJK which I will cherish forever. Hopefully I will see all of them very soon.

ANILVANI A/P GUNASEELAN (CEB150005)
20 March 2016, Sunday ( Dapur Jalanan )

As a member of logistic deparment, I have given task to find this place. Two member from group 1 and me from group 2 had went to survey the place on 6th March 2016. It was located at Bangsar. There have all facilities to prepare food. On 20 March, after we reached the place we had given task to cut the fruit and make sandwiches. Normally there will be food preparation like Tomyam but on that day Mr. Ramesh had sponsor chicken rice for the Dapur Jalanan. Therefore, we just need to do the sandwiches and fruit salad. I had assigned to cut the fruits.

After we finished our work, we had briefed by the committee members of Dapur Jalanan. They had share a lot of information about the urban poor. They had informed us that homeless people are very sensitive. Therefore, they advise us to ask permission to the homeless people before we take picture of them. Here I realized that homeless people also same like us. They also have feelings. I must respect them even though they are poor peoples.

Then, we went to the Jalan Panggung for the food distribution. I was shocked when  I saw there was a long queue of homeless people. I did not expect there will be a lot of ladies being homeless. I also feel commiseration when I saw there were two pregnant ladies and some senior citizens queue up to get the food. I feel thankful to good for did not give me a life like them.

Finally, we did a sharing session. We share some comment to the person of in charge for this Dapur jalanan. One of friend of mine had given a comment that some of the homeless people did not like the food because of the curry. Here I realize that even though they are homeless people, I must respect them. Before this I think that they will eat whatever food we give to them due to hunger. Finally, this activity had inspired me to conduct this kind of volunteering work in the future.

22 March 2016 (Fund Raising Activity in University Of Malaya)

I had done my fund raising activity by sold Muffins which had prepared by mother of one of my group member. I had given 13 muffins to sell it for 2 days. I had sold it RM 5 for 3 muffins and 1 for RM2. I had sold that muffin at my faculty, residential colledge and in my english class. My total sell was RM24. We had spent the total profit to buy the prizes for the Sekolah Bimbingan Jalinan Kasih students.

25 March 2016, Friday ( Sekolah Bimbingan Jalinan Kasih )

We had reached the school by 8.30 am. I was shocked when I saw the school was very clean. I expected vandalism because I thought homeless and abandoned street children at that school will be have disciplinary problem. First of all, there was a speech by Mr Zulkernai Fauzi , principal of SBJK. He had showed us a video presentation about that school. It is really touch my heart. I feel commiseration when the principal explain about the homeless children. The student are have international look because they were born due to prostitution. It is make me to cry because I also did not have father. My father was passed away when I was young. So, I can understand why students here are so emotional.. I also was surprised with his information that give to us. The education system of that school is totally different from the other school. This school have preschool, primary, secondary and basic level of vocasional (PAV). This school also have multigred learning system which means there will be many different age students in one class and they also do not have to wear uniforms. Teachers at this school also look so young. This makes the student at this school have bonding like sibling with their teachers.

At 9.30 we started to conduct our activity. I was assigned to handle preschool students. I had in charge for the musical chair game. I had notice that student in this school are very emotional and they are also not easily mingle with us in the earlier stage. For example Aishah and Mia are not mingle with us at the beginning. After we approach them, then they start to mingle with us. There had learnt how to handle these kind of students.

After the recess, I had handle ‘Aras 2’ students. I notice that student in SBJK are more prefer games. They also did not give attention to us if they feel bored. So, I learnt that I should very careful when choose a activity for them.

After the meeting, we start our games session. I was in charge for the ‘Be a coconut tree’. Before this I had join ‘School is Fun’ and ‘Kem Menuju Kejayaan’ which is my residential colledge project. So have experience to handle school student. But SBJK student are totally different. When I was conduct this game, they did not understand my instruction and start to talking and some of the student went out from there. Therefore, I change my instruction. Here I learnt that I should be make sure they are did not feel bored and must choose a attractive games for them to make sure they pay attention. Then, we proceed with the other games. At 2.30pm we start to give prizes to the winning groups. Finally, we leave SBJK at 3pm. I was feel so happy that I was been one of the person that entertain them who need love and makes them do not feel marginalize by society.

My Social Engagement Journey

          Dapur Jalanan Kuala Lumpur
          20 March 2016, Sunday
          Jalan Panggung Kuala Lumpur

Dapur Jalanan KL has operated since 2013. The first time I heard about Dapur Jalanan Kuala Kumpur is when I was studying for my Diploma at University of Malaya (UM). For me, Dapur Jalanan KL is quite popular among the UM communities. Since some of my friends has join the programs by Dapur Jalanan KL, I actually wanted to join them too but because of the time constraint, I did not managed to join them. Luckily on a bright sunny day, my instructor has agreed to join Dapur Jalanan KL as a part of social engagement activities. On 20 March 2016, it was the proposed date. For the precious 6 hours with them, there are a lot of things that I learnt that may reflect myself to be a better person.

First of all, I learnt to appreciate my life. As the programs run, I can see that most of the peoples are lacking in basic needs. What can I see with their behavior and clothing makes me realized the differences between them and me. There are huge gaps really. But, I still respect them all as a human without regard to their appearances etc. and I think that all the peoples in the world also need to respect this peoples. Give some love towards this peoples.

Furthermore, I gain new knowledge from this activities. As we are all divided into several teams, I was order to control the trash or garbage. According to the instructors, unfinished foods can be compose into fertilizers for plants. How cool is that? The food waste that we throw everyday are actually ‘vitamins’ for plants. This is a new things for me. By reusing the food waste, peoples can actually save the earth and also save money from fertilizers of course.

Cooperation is essential for a team. The first things that we all do is preparing the meals. I cannot just stand still and let others do the work. Hence, I learnt to managed myself in a team so that I can eventually contributed to the team. Besides, I also learnt to communicate effectively with the team members and know new friends.

Dapur Jalanan KL programs do affect me as an individual. There are a lot of things that I learnt. I can feel an amazing moments when I distributed the food to the peoples. It is fun to give out something that we have to the needy peoples. To conclude, I need to take care and remember all the peoples in the world especially the needy because, if I abandoned them is like I abandoned my family. We are all humans. Our standards is just a subjective matter. 'Food is the rights of communities!'.

‘ Most of the peoples are not unemployed, they are just insufficient of their income due to Kuala Lumpur living standards ‘.

          Fundraising
          22 March 2016, Tuesday
          University of Malaya (UM)

In order to achieve the goals of the programs, I need to buy various things. Fundraising can be seen as a platform to get the capital for the programs. With the agreement of all, we have choose to sell cupcakes as the products. After calculate the total cost, the cupcakes will be RM2 per pieces. By that, I can gain enough net profits to buy materials for the programs.

As the business strategy, I has introduced a combo where if customers buys three cupcakes only cost RM5. This make the selling much more interesting and generally attracted more customers to buy. As the factor of place constraints, I decided to sell it in mobility technique where each members need to sell a certain number of cupcakes individually.

What I learnt from this fundraising activities is it develop my business skills. The theories in class that I learnt can eventually be used in this activities. It is like doing a practical. Some elements that I practically used are management, marketing and also accounting. By that, I hope this activity will be a starter to own a business one day.

Can I handle the kids? Will they cry? What if I hurt them? How to control them? These are the things that keep spinning into my head as I was asked to conduct an activities with the pre-school students. At first, I was not confidence to control the kids because I did not have any knowledge that must characterize a teacher. I am just an ordinary business students. There is huge differences between a teacher and me. Luckily, with the help of Sekolah Bimbingan Jalinan Kasih (SBJK) teachers and friends, the programs run smoothly and successfully.

In my everyday lives, it was like a classroom. I learnt new things everyday. But, today, I learnt a lot of things with the communities of SBJK either with the teachers and also the kids itself. The biggest lesson that I learnt is how to managed the kids. Honestly, it was not easy to handle them. They are highly active. With the help of the teachers, I managed to control them effectively. The key to control them is we must be like a kids to control them. Hence, it was a good lesson that I can use in the future.

Next, I increase my communications and soft skills. As I am a business students, I need to talk a lot of time in front of various kinds of peoples. In easy term called a presentation. As soon as this programs ends, I realize that I become confidence in conducting a presentation. That is very useful for me as a businessman.

Moreover, I learnt to be managers. The programs actually need me to plan and control the time well. Although during the day, there is dragging in times that makes the programs flows a bit off plan, I managed to re-plan the time with all the activities planned successfully conducted. That was a relieve. Without realizing, this scenario is like a practical of contingency planning that I learnt in business study.

It was an amazing moment with the pre-school students and the teachers. The experiences and lesson that I learnt is very useful in my daily lives. Peoples said that be a teacher is hard. It is true. It was hard actually but the relationships between teachers and students makes the teachers feel very motivated in class. Now, I really can feel the motivations just like a teacher  to be better in life.

Personally, this is my second time conducting activities at school. The last time I conducted when I was studying  for my Diploma. Having to be the organizers for the programs at Sekolah Bimbingan Jalinan Kasih (SBJK)  really makes me feel very nervous and excited at the same time. But, at the end, the programs run smoothly and successfully. Besides completing the programs, I also learnt a lot from the communities of SBJK.

As a human that reflects me, I always feel dissatisfied with my life especially regarding the things that I have compare to the others. After I went to this programs and listen to a bunch of stories, there are more peoples that their life is much more pity than me. By that, I learnt to appreciate my life more and I believe that all the peoples in the world also need to appreciate their life too.

All the peoples in the world deserves respect, guidance and love. At SBJK, these are the elements that the teachers apply to their students. In my view, this schools are different than any other schools and I can see that one day this school can be an elite and recognized school in Malaysia or maybe the world. Not only SBJK, I think all the schools also need to apply these elements. Therefore, with the guidance of the teachers of SBJK, I learnt to be more respectful and to give everyone appreciations or love in life no matter what are their background.

As a business student, this programs do affect me especially in terms of communications and soft skills. In the real business world, I might need to give speech or presentation to different kinds of peoples. Therefore, this programs encourages me to be brave and speak confidently. The most important things, I learnt something on how to influences peoples.

When I was a young boy, it always the teachers or parent that taught me. In this programed, I actually become a teacher for a day. This is an amazing moment. What I can learnt and feel is the hardship of the teachers and also parents. Yes, it is not easy to handle a group of students. But, their determinants and objectives really make us move forward. Hence. I learnt to be determinants and gallant in achieving goals or vision in my life.

Last but not least, I can feel and understand the real meanings of grateful. Furthermore, I gain an amazing moments with the communities of SBJK and I believe that not everyone can experienced it. Not to forget, I got the chances to know new peoples especially the course mates that conducted this programs together.

          Jalan Chow Kit

As this is the third time I went to this school, the feeling are different. I am now feel very closed to the school. Apart from that, the students and the teachers also remember me and also other members. Hence, I feel extra confident to interact and communicate with the communities of SBJK. That is also the key of success of today’s activities.

To tell the truth, it is still very hard to control the childrens or students. They are hyperactive. They has no limits of tired. They will run everywhere around the school and quareling with each other. But, I know that is the nature of childrens. I cannot scold them because that is not the right way to discipline them.  Therefore, from my observations, I learnt that childrens can be disciplined using ‘cheers’. They love movement and sound. The school also create their own clapping to discipline their students. By that, ‘cheers’ can be seen as an effective way to motivates and disciplines peoples from today’s generation.

Furthermore, I managed to develop my courage standing in front of the crowd. I has assign to read the prayer or ‘doa’. That actually do make me nervous although it seems as a simple task. The benefits that I got is I gain a lot more self esteem and confidence.

Lastly, I learnt to be a multitasker. The social engagement project requires much time to prepare things and materials. At the same time, I also has a bunch of assignments or tasks that need to be submittted. With the excessive tasks, I realised that I has polished my multitasking skills in order to compete with the challenging environment.

Although I feel very tired yet it was enjoyable and worth it. I hope that the children also learnt something just like I do. As we already create a bonding between the communities of SBJK, I hope that we will remember each other forever. I hope to meet the childrens again in the future.

SEKOLAH BIMBINGAN JALINAN KASIH
KUALA LUMPUR
25 MARCH, 2016, FRIDAY

On this day, we went to the school in morning for conducting our event. When I reached school, I was really surprised to see the environment of the school. The school was very well decorated and the sections were divided properly for children. The environment was well suited as well. It was more like a home to the children. I was happy to think that inspite of being under-privileged and street children, they were kept in such a nice place. They also have the opportunity to educate themselves from this very institution.

First of all, Miss Nadia, who is a teacher of that school welcomed us cordially. She was very kind and polite towards us which surprised us. As the teachers of the schools always remain busy with children, sometimes they are not so considerate and friendly towards others. But her behavior charmed us and I learnt that no matter what situation you face, always handle it with positive attitude.

The principal of the school, Mr. Zulkernai Fouzi also welcomed us and shortly briefed us about the foundation and the activities of the school. I was very attentive to his briefing as this kind of work fascinates me very much. He also showed us a video about the overall activities of the school. There were some emotional scenes as well. The video showed how the children are so helpless. It really hurt my emotion. So I couldn't control my emotions and started crying. But then again I also felt thankful that we are not in this situation. And I learnt from this is that, I should always be thankful of what I have.

Briefing by the honorable principal
Showing of the video
After that, we started our main activity. During the activity session I noticed that the children are also like the normal ones. They also love playing and at the same time studying. They were also exploring new things when we were conducting activities with them. As my group and other groups like group 1,5 and 6 combined together, we conducted our activities together. We helped each other so that we can make this event a success.

We arranged game session and study session both for those children. I was mainly assigned for the pre-schools but as they were very little in number that day, I helped other groups in teaching and playing with children. We arranged some games such as musical chair, drawing contest and so on. I noticed that the children were enjoying the games very much. It reminded me of my childhood. It was also very fun to play with them.

Playing session with the children

When we started the study session, I noticed that the children can speak Malay only. So as an international student it was really challenging for me to communicate with them. But as I know a few words I tried to communicate with them and I was glad that they understood what I tried to say. So from my opinion, I think that they should be taught English as well to communicate and to go ahead in their future. But as they are very small, they still have time to learn.

With the help of one of my group mates, I tried to talk to some children about their lifestyle and what they prefer to do. From their answers, I got to know that they are quite different from each other but still they are united when they are playing or studying. I also noticed that some children like studying more and others like playing. But they enjoy what they do. From this thing I realized I should also keep positive attitude towards every task. If I can do that, the work will be enjoyable for me. Though they are unknown about their family background, their houses and so on, they are still enjoying every single part of their lives with the teachers. As I learnt from their school, the teachers very kind and affectionate towards them, as a consequence, the children are able to get proper care and education so that they can be successful in their future lives.

At the end, we shared our opinion and thoughts with the teachers and expressed our gratitude that how happy we all were to be a temporary part of this school. I also thanked the teachers for taking an initiative to educate the under-privileged children. we all wished success for this kind of schools so that they can do this noble work for the under-privileged children.

Distributing prizes among the children

Finally,  what I learnt from this activity is that, as I worked there in a group, I learnt how to conduct teamwork and how to make it successful. I also learnt unity and the urge to work properly as a team. I also got to know how to follow the instructions of the leader. Also, how to follow the way of doing his work which will help us to succeed in the long run. After that, I learnt how the children are taught in school about various things. Also got to learn some techniques to teach and handle children. Moreover, as they were under-privileged children, I got to know about their ways of exploring things, how they get to know the things and so on. Furthermore, by spending quality time with them, I also learnt about their nature and way of living. Finally, this activity taught me about many things which I can apply to my future life.

FUND RAISING ACTIVITY
UNIVERSITY OF MALAYA
22 MARCH, 2016.

For my next project in this course, we were to sell muffins to raise fund for buying prizes and also some equipment to conduct our next project successfully. As we all decided to sell muffins, we all choose one of our group mates to arrange the muffins.

Her mother baked the muffins and we all were assigned to sell 13 muffins each. We choose our university and residential colleges to sell the muffins. But as I live off campus, I was assigned to sell the muffins to my area.

Back in my country, I used to do a lot of fund raising activities for my previous events. So I knew how to conduct this task. So I followed my strategy and within a very short time I was able to sell all the muffins. I learnt many things from this fund raising activity as well. It is not an easy task to do. I had to provide quality muffins so that the buyers can get the proper muffins. I also learnt how to do fund raising program in a very short time. Also, I had to communicate to some people who don't know English. That was very challenging for me. I had to learn some Malay words to communicate with them and sell them the muffins. And fortunately, I was able to do so.

There were promotions for muffins as well. One muffin costs RM 2, but if anyone buys 3 muffins, he will get it at RM 5. So, this market strategy also helped me to sell all the muffins in time. After that, I handed a total amount of RM 22 to our group treasure. I was happy that we conducted our fund raising activity successfully and with proper guidance. Also, I got to learn many marketing skills from this particular fund raising activity. I am also very thankful to our group for the unity and also for helping each other for achieving our targeted goal.
